Tenzi is a dice game created by the Americans Steve and Kevin of Carma Games. This is a great example of a modern dice game that has no acient counterpart, and has achieved great success through it's natural playability, and infectious appeal to observing childern. Instructions
Objective:
The objective of Tenzi is to be the first player to get all of your dice to show the same number.
Materials:
- Any number of dice for each player, but it is commonly played with 10.
Gameplay:
Setup:
- Each player takes an equal number of dice.
Rolling the Dice:
- All players simultaneously roll their dice onto the playing surface.
Matching Numbers:
- After the dice are rolled, players quickly scan their dice to find a number that they want to match. The goal is to match all dice to the same number.
Re-Rolling:
- Players can pick up and roll any dice they don't want to keep.
- Players can continue rolling as long as they wish until they achieve the goal of matching all dice to the same number.
Winning:
- The first player to have all of their dice show the same number shouts "Tenzi!" , or “Ninezi”, etc. and wins the round.
Multiple Rounds:
- You can play countdown, where each time you match all dice, you remove a dice and count down to “Onezi”.
Winning the Game: You can play as many rounds as you like, and the player who wins the most rounds can be declared the winner.
