Instructions
Objective:
The objective of Mia is to be the last player with dice remaining in the game.
Materials:
- 2 dice.
- A cup or container to shake the dice.
- Remaining dice to be used as currency or chips or other form of currency (if playing with bets).
Setup:
- Players sit in a circle or around a table, and one player serves as the first "caller" to start the game.
Rolling the Dice:
- The game begins with the caller secretly shaking two dice inside a cup or container and then rolling them while keeping the results hidden from other players.
Calling the Outcome:
- The caller looks at the results of the dice and announces a specific outcome, which includes the total value of the two dice and the value of one of the dice. For example, the caller might say, "Mia 2," meaning that there are two dice showing the value of 2.
Passing the Call:
- The player to the left of the caller can choose to accept the call, challenge it, or make a new call. If they challenge the call, the dice are revealed. If the call is accurate, the challenging player loses one die. If the call is incorrect, the caller loses one die.
Making a New Call:
- If the next player chooses to make a new call, they must announce a call that is either a higher total value of the dice, a higher individual die value, or both. For example, if the previous call was "Mia 2," the new call could be "Mia 3" or "Mia 2, 3."
Continuing Turns:
- Players take turns making calls, challenging, or passing. The game continues until there is only one player remaining with dice.
Winning the Game:
- The last player remaining with dice is declared the winner.
