Round 1: Gently throw all 5 pieces on the table/ground
- Pick up single piece then throw it directly upwards.
- While in the air, pick up a single piece of the ground.
- Repeat the throw with a piece from your hand for all remaining pieces. (4 throws total)
Round 2: Gently throw all 5 pieces on the table/ground
- Pick up a single piece and throw it directly upward.
- While in the air, pick up 2 pieces from the ground.
- Repeat the throw with a piece from your hand and pick up the remaining two pieces. (2 throws total)
Round 3: Gently throw all 5 pieces on the table/ground

- Gently throw all 5 pieces directly upwards, ensuring that they stay together in the air as much as possible
- Try and catch as many pieces on the back of your hand on the back of your fingers.
- If any pieces fall off the back of your hand before the next throw they do not count towards your score.
- Gently throw the pieces on the back of your hand upwards and catch them all without rotating your hand (palm must face downwards). (2 throws total)
- 1 point is awarded for every piece that made it past the first throw.

- Players may play with more than 5 pieces, increasing the difficulty.
- Players may play Snail or Genius versions of the game for unskilled and skilled players:
- Snail is used to teach children the pattern of catching and it does not involve throwing. For rounds 1-4 player will keep the edge of their hand on the ground sweeping the pieces instead of throwing. A player fails the round if they do not collect the correct number for that sweep. Once a player understands can sweep the correct patterns for all rounds without aid, they can move onto learning how to throw, pick up, and catch.
- Genius Consists of throwing not one, but all pieces that are currently in the hand, picking up required, and catching all thrown.
- If you would like to add a variation to these rules, leave an Amazon review with the variation in the review for it will be added to this section.
Crisis Variation [Advanced Competitive Group Play]
Advanced and skilled players in groups may play with Crisis Turn when they have achieved 5, 10, or 15 points. Each round has a group based dynamic, and opponents will make the round more difficult. Failure to score points on a Crisis Turn with mean a player must redo that turn.
- Observing opponents will choose which piece you must pick up for the first stone.
- Observing opponents will choose which piece you must pick up for the first stone.
- Observing opponents will choose which piece you must pick up for the first stone.
- Cover the pieces with your hand and shake them on the table/ground until an opponent yells stop. Reveal the pieces and an opponent will take a piece and throw it into the remaining four pieces. Take the thrown piece and use it to begin the throw for round 4.
- Before tossing the pieces into the air to the back of your hand, the opponent(s) will agree "even" or "odd". You will have to catch only even or odd number of pieces on the back of your hand. If you fail to catch the correct even or odd call, then it is considered a [Total Fail] and you will have to redo the crisis turn.
