Objective:
Bunco is a lively social dice game often played at gatherings, parties, or in Bunco groups. It's a fun way to socialize and compete with friends while rolling dice and aiming for specific combinations. The objective of Bunco is to roll dice to match a target number for each round and score points by achieving specific combinations.
Players: Bunco is traditionally played with 12 players, organized into three tables of four players each. However, it can be adapted for different group sizes.
Materials:
- 9 standard dice.
- Bunco scorecards.
Gameplay:
Setup:
- Each table of four players has a set of three dice, and there are three tables in total.
- A Bunco scorecard is provided to each player. The scorecard typically consists of six rounds, labeled "1" through "6."
Rolling Dice:
- Each round begins with players sitting in teams of two players on the same side of the table.
- A target number is selected for each round (e.g., Round 1 targets 1s, Round 2 targets 2s, and so on).
Playing the Round:
- At the start of each round, players take turns rolling their three dice, attempting to roll the target number for that round (e.g., rolling 1s for Round 1).
- Players take turns in a clockwise order.
- When a player rolls the target number, they score a point and continue rolling until they fail to roll the target number or until all three dice show the target number.
- If a player successfully rolls all three dice with the target number, they shout "Bunco" and score a bonus point.
Scoring:
- Points are recorded on the scorecard based on the following:
- One point is awarded for each die showing the target number.
- If a player rolls all three dice showing the target number, they score a bonus point (a Bunco).
- Players track their points for each round on their scorecard.
Advancing Tables:
- After each round, players switch tables. The player with the most points at each table advances to the next higher-numbered table, while the player with the fewest points moves to the lower-numbered table.
- Players continue moving up or down tables after each round.
Completing All Rounds:
- The game consists of six rounds, one for each target number (1 through 6).
- Players complete all six rounds and continue moving to higher or lower tables based on their performance.
Winning the Game:
- The player with the most points at the end of all six rounds is declared the winner.

- If you would like to add a variation to these rules, leave an Amazon review with the variation in the review for it will be added to this section.
