Objective:
10 000 is a thrilling dice game that combines luck and strategy. Players need to decide when to push their luck and when to play it safe, making it an exciting game of risk and reward. The objective of 10 000 is to accumulate points by rolling dice without "bottoming out" (losing all your points) and be the first to reach a predetermined winning point total.
Materials:
- 6 dice per person.
- A score sheet or a way to keep track of scores.
- The Gold Cup is given to the winner of the previous game.
Setup:
- Choose a winning point total (e.g., 10,000 points) before starting the game.
Rolling Dice:
- In each turn, a player rolls all six dice at once.
Scoring:
- Points are scored based on specific combinations, and the scoring rules are as follows:
- Three 1s are worth 1,000 points.
- A single 1 is worth 100 points.
- A single 5 is worth 50 points.
- Three of any other number (2, 3, 4, 5, or 6) are worth 100 times the face value of the die (e.g., three 3s are worth 300 points).
- Four of a kind is worth 200 times the face value of the die
- Five of a kind is worth 400 times the face value of the die
- Six of a kind is worth 800 times the face value of the die
- A straight is worth 1500 points
- Three pairs are worth 1500 points

Decision Making:
- After rolling, the player must make a choice. They can choose to keep any scoring dice and roll the remaining non-scoring dice or take their accumulated points for the turn.
Rolling Again:
- If the player continues to roll, they can set aside scoring dice and roll the non-scoring dice again. If they roll a scoring combination, they can set those dice aside as well and continue to roll the remaining non-scoring dice.
- The player can keep rolling as long as they keep rolling scoring combinations. However, if they ever roll a non-scoring roll, they lose all points for that turn, and their turn ends.
Passing the Dice:
- If the player decides to stop rolling and keep their points, or if they bottom out, they pass the dice to the next player.
Winning Points:
- The player accumulates the points scored in each turn, and the points are added to their total score.
Winning the Game:
- The game continues with each player taking turns. The first player to reach or exceed the predetermined winning point total is declared the winner.
Variations:
- If you would like to add a variation to these rules, leave an Amazon review with the variation in the review for it will be added to this section.
